Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026 · Türkçe sürüm

Dokuz requires no account and never asks for your email, name, phone number or location. No ads are shown and no analytics or tracking tools are used. If you join the leaderboard, the only things sent to our server are the nickname you choose and your scores.

Data stored on your device

The game keeps your records, run history and settings in your device's own storage only. This data is never sent to us or to any third party. What is stored:

Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also clear it in-app via Settings → Reset Statistics.

Leaderboards

Leaderboards are hosted on our own server (dokuz.asveas.com). Apple Game Center and Google Play Games are no longer used. What we store:

We also keep short-lived technical records to validate requests: a one-time verification value (2 minutes), a rate-limit counter (1 minute) and a truncated log of rejected requests (1 day).

Retention: daily boards are deleted after 3 days, weekly boards after 14 days. Season boards and your nickname stay until you ask us to remove them.

Your right to deletion: email us at the address below and your nickname and all your scores will be removed from the boards.

Your data is never used for advertising, sold, or shared with anyone. Our infrastructure uses Vercel (hosting) and Upstash (database); these providers only host the data on our behalf.

Anti-spoofing

To keep the board fair, we verify that the app submitting a score really is Dokuz: Apple's App Attest on iOS and Google's Play Integrity on Android. This check tells us the app and device have not been tampered with; it does not tell us who you are and contains no personal data.

Notifications

Notifications are generated on your device. No push messages are sent to you and no device token is collected. For rival alerts the app periodically asks our server for your rank and, if it has dropped, builds the notification locally. Both can be turned off in Settings. On Android 13 and above, notification permission is requested separately; declining it does not affect gameplay.

No ads, no purchases

The app contains no advertising network, no use of advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID), no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. No profiling is performed for personalised advertising.

Age limit

Dokuz is designed for ages 13 and up and is not a child-directed app. The reason is the leaderboard: the nickname a player chooses is shown publicly and scores are stored on our server. Doing that in a child-directed product would require the additional protections that children's privacy rules demand; we chose to raise the age limit instead.

The content itself is suitable for any age — no violence, ads, purchases, chat or user-to-user messaging; the word list is filtered and inappropriate nicknames are rejected. But we do not market the app to young children. The only outbound links are the store page and this support site.

Sharing

If you choose to share a score, your device's own share sheet opens and you decide which app receives the text. This never passes through our servers.

Anti-cheat

To keep leaderboards fair, the game evaluates tap timing and the distribution of touches across the screen on-device only and only for the duration of that round. These measurements are not stored and never transmitted; the result solely determines whether the score is submitted to the leaderboard.

Data security

Your records, statistics and settings stay on your device; their security rests on your operating system's app sandboxing. The nickname and scores sent to our server travel over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The server holds nothing that directly identifies you — no name, email or location.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the date at the top will change. If an update changes the app's data behaviour, we will also note it in the store release notes.
